I’m delighted to welcome you to the 9th Monash University Pharmacy Education Symposium.
This year’s symposium focuses on Pharmacy Education and Collaboration for Global Practice. Given recent developments in the pharmacy education landscape, including the adoption of Pharmacy Workforce Development Goals by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), it is very timely to discuss how we can collaborate globally to progress initiatives in pharmacy education
What better place to do that than in the beautiful setting of the Palazzo Vaj, in the historic old town of Prato. This Tuscan setting lends itself to an informal and interactive symposium, in an environment which supports collaboration and sharing of ideas.
The symposium presents an ideal opportunity to share and discover best practice with colleagues committed to better pharmacy education and improved global health. Network with like-minded pharmacy educators to share ideas, learn from others, challenge the status quo and think big about the future. The collegial nature and wealth of outcomes-focused workshops will ensure you return home full of new ideas to put into practice immediately and with a new list of potential
collaborators from around the world.
We are expecting a large group this year, but I hope to have time to meet each of you over a coffee, a poster presentation, in a workshop, or at the Symposium Dinner (a not-to-be missed event!). Please make sure you plan some extra days to enjoy the delights of Tuscany, one of my favourite parts of the world!
